Session 5: Inclusive, Accessible, and Collaborative Storytelling
Inclusive, Accessible, and Collaborative Storytelling presented by:
- Doug Roland, Founder, Feeling Through
- Roberto Cabrera, Director of RIT/NTID’s STEM Academy
- Sue Ruzenski Ed.D., CEO of Helen Keller Services
The stories we tell shape our understanding of each other and the world around us. The panelists of this session were all part of building Feeling Through Studio, a fully accessible, disability-led learning platform that allows users to learn about disability through authentic and engaging video content. This session will explore the current state of disability storytelling, the importance of intercommunity collaboration, and why “above and beyond” accessibility features should be the new norm.
