Apply to be a Teach Access Fellow
The Teach Access Fellowship Program brings together educators and administrators in higher education to build communities focused on teaching and promoting accessibility. Over a year, Fellows receive support in understanding how accessibility impacts their work, teaching it to others, and developing strategies to incorporate it into the curriculum.

NEW Accessibility Courses
Thanks to Reader’s Digest Partners for Sight Foundation funding, Teach Access has released two new accessibility courses for educators! Check out our Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Organizational Communication courses now. You can register for our free courses on our website.


Get Involved -Volunteer Opportunities
This fall, Teach Access will work on three projects to update and create new resources. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the following projects:
- A publication for educators about the intersection of AI and Accessibility
- Estimated time commitment: the first two weeks of October
- Refresh the Why Teach Accessibility? Fact Sheet
- Estimated time commitment: about 10 to 15 hours over the course of 3 months (November 2024 to January 2025)
- Building the Teaching Accessibility Case Studies
- Estimated time commitment: about 25 to 30 hours over the course of five months (November 2024 to March 2025)

Announcing Our New Academic Hub
Buffalo State University
Teach Access is thrilled to announce that Buffalo State University has signed on as our second academic hub. Throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, we will support a select group of faculty from their School of Education through training and development so they can teach accessibility to the next generation of educators.

Digication Scholars Conversation with Kate
Digication recently released a two-part series about Teach Accesson their Digication Scholars Conversations podcast. Host Jeff Yan chats with Kate Sonka, Executive Director for Teach Access, about Teach Access‘ mission to support educators in teaching about accessibility and disability. The conversation also explores the importance of integrating accessibility into product development and the broad benefits it offers society.

University of Illinois – Information Accessibility Design & Policy Certificate Program
The College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois is offering an online professional certificate in Information Accessibility Design and Policy (IADP), with the first course starting October 21, 2024!
