Teach Access CSUN Faculty Sessions – March 14-15, 2019

Join Teach Access and our members at the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference 2019 in Anaheim, CA.  Numerous members will be presenting multiple sessions this year and we hope to see you there! Check out the sessions below for more details.

 

Session Title: 2019 Teach Access Update

  • When: Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 1:20 pm PST

  • Abstract: Teach Access unites technology companies and universities to expose students to accessible design and development principles. 2018 milestones and 2019 strategies will be presented.

Session Title: Accessibility with People with Disabilities Through Effective User Research

  • Abstract: For inclusive digital products, design decisions are informed by user research. We share practical advice for effectively involving people with disabilities in the design process.

Session Title: Evaluating Organizational Readiness for Accessibility

  • Abstract: Move towards accessibility maturity by starting where you are and understanding where you can go. TPG shares a framework for building a successful program.

Session Title: Closing the Accessible Technology Skills Gap

  • Abstract: Organizations are struggling to fill critical jobs because not enough prospects have accessible technology skills. We will review and discuss solutions to this important problem.
